Tim Walters retired from Eastern Washington University Police Department (EWUPD) in 2020 as Chief of Police. Prior to EWUPD, Tim spent 26 years at the Washington State Patrol, where he retired as a Sergeant. Tim’s law enforcement career spanned 41 years, where he was known for mentoring and developing future leaders. Tim holds a degree in Criminal Justice from Central Washington University and is a graduate of the Northwest Law Enforcement Executive Command College. Tim has served as a Field Training Officer and line supervisor across his entire career, helping individuals promote through the ranks, up to and up to Chiefs of Police.
